James Bond can escape the most lethal enemies, but not social media trolls. After being the butt of jokes for endorsing a pan masala brand recently, Irish actor Pierce Brosnan was trolled again for saying that he was misled by the company into endorsing the product.
“I was distressed to learn of Pan Bahar’s unauthorised and deceptive use of my image to endorse their range of pan masala products,” the James Bond star said in a statement published on People.com.
Online trolls grabbed the opportunity and how! Users mocked the 63-year-old for not knowing what the product was before he agreed to endorse it. Sample this: “So pierce brosnan saying he didn’t know what he was selling is as good as pablo escobar saying he thought he was selling talcum powder (sic),” tweeted Vivek Koka.
Another one: “So Pierce Brosnan wasn’t aware that Pan Bahar has tobacco, just like Salman did’t know it was his driver and the Deer committed suicide (sic),” wrote Vivek Sharma.
And, how about this? “Pierce Brosnan is like an Engineering Student who study whole night for the next day examination, but had no idea what he is studying (sic),” tweeted Ashoke Dinda.
